Position: Steel Fixer
Location: Leiston, Suffolk
Project: Reinforced Concrete Structures
Hours: 7:30AM to 5:30PM
Duration: Long Term Work
Salary or Pay Rate: £250 a shift
Requirements:
- CSCS Blue Card (Steelfixing)
- Must be able to pass a DBS check
Foundation Personnel are working on behalf of a Tier 1 Contractor for the Sizewell C project, one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure developments. We’re looking for Steel Fixers to join the team in Leiston, Suffolk, to support ongoing reinforced concrete operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Reading and interpreting technical drawings and bar bending schedules

Installing steel rebar and mesh reinforcement for concrete slabs, walls, and columns

Ensuring correct positioning and spacing of reinforcement as per design

Cutting, bending, and tying steel using hand and power tools

Adhering to site safety protocols and ensuring clean, safe working areas
Requirements:

Blue CSCS card – Steel Fixer/Formwork (mandatory)

DBS check (can be processed online) (mandatory)

Ideally have own tools (preferred)

Previous experience on large-scale civils or infrastructure projects

Ability to work independently from drawings and as part of a larger team
