Foundation Personnel are currently recruiting for a local Steel Fixer to work on a project in Fleetwood, Lancashire.
This role is on behalf of a leading UK engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering major civil engineering, utilities, water, and industrial projects nationwide. The company is recognised for its engineering expertise, commitment to innovation, and exceptional safety standards while delivering complex infrastructure schemes.
You will be responsible for carrying out steel fixing duties, including working within confined spaces, ensuring reinforcement is installed accurately and safely in accordance with engineering drawings.
Duties Will Include:
- Carrying out all aspects of steel fixing on site
- Reading and interpreting reinforcement drawings and schedules
- Cutting, bending, and tying reinforcement steel
- Installing reinforcement for concrete structures
- Working safely within confined spaces
- Ensuring reinforcement is fixed to the correct line, level, and specification
- Working closely with shuttering carpenters, concrete gangs, and site management
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Following all site health & safety procedures
- Maintaining strict health & safety standards on site
