Foundation Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Steel Fixer with Confined Spaces to work on a major construction project in Barking, East London.
This role is on behalf of a leading UK construction and engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure and complex building projects across the country. The project involves working within a busy construction environment, with steel fixing and confined space activities forming part of the works.
You will be responsible for carrying out steel fixing duties, working from drawings and specifications, and safely installing reinforcement as required. The role will also involve working within confined spaces, so candidates must be confident working in these environments and hold the relevant qualification.
Duties Will Include:
- Fixing and tying steel reinforcement to drawings and specifications
- Cutting, bending and positioning reinforcement steel
- Working on foundations, slabs, walls and other reinforced concrete structures
- Working safely within confined spaces where required
- Following site plans, drawings and instructions
- Working closely with groundworkers, carpenters and other site teams
- Maintaining a safe and tidy working area
- Following all site health and safety procedures
