Hours: 7:30AM to 4:30PM
Duration: 1 Week
Salary or Pay Rate: £250 A Shift
Foundation Personnel are currently seeking an experienced Steel Fixers to join our team on a busy construction project. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and skilled operative looking for long-term work with competitive rates of pay.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Reading and interpreting reinforcement drawings and schedules.
- Cutting, bending and fixing steel reinforcement bars and mesh.
- Installing reinforcement cages for foundations, walls, columns, slabs and other concrete structures.
- Ensuring all work is completed to specification and project requirements.
- Working safely and efficiently as part of a construction team.
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety on site.
Requirements
- Valid CSCS Card (Blue Skilled Worker preferred).
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer on construction or civil engineering projects.
- Ability to read and interpret reinforcement drawings.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
- Own PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable
- Experience working on major infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
- CPCS/NPORS Slinger Signaller ticket.
- Safety Critical Medical (where applicable).
Please note: Successful candidates will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test at induction, carried out by our end client, as part of their health and safety procedures
