Foundation Personnel is seeking a Site Manager with Appointed Person (CPCS) for a major shaft sinking and pipe jacking project in Scunthorpe. This role involves managing and overseeing heavy civil works, including complex underground tunnelling operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in heavy civils, with a proven track record of delivering on similar projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee shaft sinking and pipe jacking operations, ensuring the project runs smoothly and meets deadlines.
- Manage and coordinate site teams, ensuring all personnel follow safety protocols and work efficiently.
- Implement and enforce site health and safety measures, maintaining high standards across all operations.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to address challenges related to the heavy civils project.
- Ensure all required paperwork, including risk assessments and method statements, is completed and up to date.
Qualifications and Experience:
- SMSTS certification is essential.
- Extensive heavy civils experience, particularly in shaft sinking, tunnelling, and pipe jacking.
- First Aid certification.
- Appointed Person (CPCS) qualification for lifting operations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage large teams and complex projects.
- Knowledge of current health and safety regulations in the construction and tunnelling sectors.
