Shuttering Carpenter
Position: Shuttering Carpenter (with National Grid Access)
Location: SE London
Project: Substation works
Hours: 07:30-17:30
Duration: Ongoing
Salary or Pay Rate: £270 per day
Requirements:

Minimum 2+ years’ experience as a Shuttering Carpenter
-
Valid CSCS card
-
NG Persons ticket
-
Proven experience working on substation or heavy civils projects
-
Strong knowledge of health & safety in live environments
Key Responsibilities:
-
Installing, assembling, and dismantling formwork and shuttering systems

Working from drawings and specifications to required tolerances
-
Pour preparation, including shutters for bases, plinths, and concrete structures
-
Ensuring all works are carried out safely within a live substation environment

Liaising with site supervisors and other trades to meet programme targets

Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work area
Qualifications and Experience:

CSCS (essential)

NG Persons ticket (essential)

Minimum 2 years’ proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter

Previous substation or utilities civils experience preferred
