Senior Engineer – Reinforced Concrete & Civils 

Location: Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire 
Rate: £500–£550 per day DOE
Contract: Long-term contract

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a leading reinforced concrete and civil engineering contractor.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Engineer with a strong background in reinforced concrete, structures and heavy civils to take a key role in the delivery of major infrastructure works.

The Role

Working closely with the Project Manager and Site Management team, you will take responsibility for the engineering delivery of reinforced concrete and civil engineering packages, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and to programme.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the engineering delivery of reinforced concrete and civils packages.

• Setting out and surveying structural and civil engineering works.

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information.

• Coordinating engineering activities with site management, subcontractors and design teams.

• Managing and mentoring Site Engineers and junior engineering staff.

• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, specifications.

• Producing and reviewing ITPs, RAMS, RFIs/TQs, quality records and as-built information.

• Monitoring progress and identifying potential technical issues or constraints.

• Supporting the Project Manager and wider delivery team with technical and engineering matters.

• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer / Section Engineer within major civil engineering projects.

• Strong reinforced concrete / structural concrete experience.

• Experience delivering major civils or infrastructure projects.

• Strong setting-out and surveying experience.

• Excellent understanding of construction drawings, specifications and engineering processes.

• Experience managing subcontractors and/or junior engineering staff.

• Strong knowledge of QA procedures, ITPs, RAMS and site documentation.

• Relevant Civil Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent).

• Appropriate CSCS certification.
