Project Manager
Overview
Foundation Personnel, a leading Geotechnical and Foundations recruitment agency, is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our clients team.
Our client is the leading geotechnical specialty design build contractor in North America. They are known for their innovative approach and commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Proposal Preparation
- Identify new project opportunities and collaborate with senior management to define strategy and secure support.
- Expand into new markets, clients, and technologies while strengthening client relationships.
- Lead the preparation of proposals, including risk assessments, cost estimating, engineering input, technical writing, site visits, and client engagement.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure a clear understanding of all contractual requirements.
- Coordinate with pre-construction teams as needed.
Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with company risk management policies and procedures.
- Proactively identify and mitigate key risks to protect the business.
Pre-Construction & Planning
- Oversee design development, submittals, procurement, pre-job planning, and scheduling.
- Organize and lead pre-construction meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Develop execution strategies with project teams to maximize profitability
Project Execution
- Build, lead, and motivate high-performing project teams.
- Ensure all work meets contract specifications and quality standards.
- Manage project schedules and budgets in collaboration with branch leadership.
- Identify challenges and opportunities to drive project success and profitability.
Safety & Quality
- Enforce compliance with all company and OSHA safety standards.
- Partner with HSEQ in the event of safety incidents to support teams and ensure proper procedures are followed.
- Address and resolve quality issues and non-conformances.
- Exercise stop-work authority when necessary to uphold safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- Minimum 5 years geotechnical, construction or industry related experience preferred.
- Excellent computer, written and verbal communication skills necessary
