Position: Mechanical Fitter
Location: Leiston, Suffolk
Project: Sizewell C
Hours: 07:00 to 18:00, Monday to Friday
Duration: 6 Months
Salary or Pay Rate: £37.40 per hour (PAYE) + Travel & Lodge
Requirements: NVQ Level 2 in Plant Maintenance & Repair

Foundation Personnel are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter on behalf of a major contractor for the Sizewell C Project. Candidates with previous experience working on Concrete Batching Plants, Asphalt Plants or similar heavy industrial plant equipment are essential.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs and servicing of plant equipment, ensuring machinery remains operational and site production targets are achieved safely and efficiently.
Duties:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
- Maintaining concrete batching plant and associated equipment where required
- Inspecting machinery and identifying potential issues before breakdowns occur
- Completing routine servicing and preventative maintenance activities
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records
- Working closely with site management and operational teams
- Following all site health & safety procedures and company policies
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 2 in Plant Maintenance & Repair
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter
- Previous experience working on Concrete Plants, Asphalt Plants or similar industrial plant equipment
- Strong fault-finding and maintenance experience
- Good understanding of site health & safety requirements
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
- Ability to work on a major infrastructure project environment
Please note: Successful candidates will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test at induction, carried out by our end client, as part of their health and safety procedures.
Candidates must be able to provide x2 Working References.
