Pipe Layer
Position: Pipelayer
Location: Farringdon, Oxfordshire
Project: Utilities (Water)
Hours: 7:30 -5:00
Duration: 4 weeks, potential to move onto other projects
Salary or Pay Rate: £220 per day
Requirements: CSCS and Thames Water Passport
Key Responsibilities:
- Installed 1200mm concrete pipework, ensuring correct alignment, line, and level
- Prepared and checked pipe bedding and trench formation prior to installation
- Carried out jointing and sealing of concrete pipes in line with specifications
- Assisted in installation of precast manholes including bases, rings, and covers
- Used laser/level equipment to ensure accuracy of pipe runs
- Worked closely with machine operators and site team to maintain workflow
- Ensured all works met Thames Water standards and project specifications
