Groundworker
Position: Groundworker (HSG47 – 2 Day)
Location: Penrhos, Anglesey, North Wales
Project: National Grid Substation (not live)
Hours: 07:30 – 17:30, Monday to Friday
Weekend work may be available (TBC)
Duration: Up to 26 weeks
Salary or Pay Rate: Competitive rates (DOE)
Requirements:
- EUSR HSG47 (Cat 1 & 2 – Locate & Avoid Services)
- CSCS Card
- Previous experience in utilities or substation environments
- Ability to work safely around live services
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out safe excavation works in line with HSG47 guidelines
- Trenching, ducting, and general groundwork duties
- Working alongside plant operators and site teams
- Supporting installation of infrastructure within a substation environment
- Maintaining high health & safety standards at all times
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Groundworker on utilities or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of service avoidance and safe digging practices
- Experience on National Grid or similar sites (desirable)
About the Company:
This project involves delivering key infrastructure works within a National Grid substation environment, supporting critical UK energy projects and the ongoing development of the national power network.
Please note: Successful candidates will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test at induction, carried out by our end client, as part of their health and safety procedures.
