Foundation Personnel is seeking a qualified CCDO Ganger for a demolition project in Yeovil starting end of October. The successful candidate will lead a demolition team, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a demolition team, ensuring all tasks are carried out according to safety standards and regulations
- Oversee soft strip and demolition operations, managing site personnel and coordinating work activities
- Ensure that all ACMs (Asbestos-Containing Materials) are handled and removed in compliance with regulations
- Provide first aid support as required and maintain a safe working environment
- Liaise with site management, reporting on progress and any site issues
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, particularly in relation to demolition and asbestos handling
Qualifications and Experience:
- A valid CCDO Demolition Chargehand card is essential
- SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme) certification required
- First Aid qualification is mandatory
- Approved (Cat B) Non-Licensable Works with ACMs certification required
- Strong leadership and supervisory experience within the demolition sector
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly relating to asbestos
