Foundation Personnel are currently recruiting for a 360 Excavator GPS Operator to work on a major civils and rail infrastructure project in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
This role is on behalf of a leading UK engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering major civil engineering, utilities, rail, and infrastructure projects across the country. The business is recognised for its technical expertise, strong safety culture, and experience delivering complex projects within challenging environments.
You will be responsible for operating a 360 excavator using GPS machine control, carrying out civils works within a rail environment while maintaining strict safety standards and complying with PTS requirements.
Duties Will Include:
- Operating a 360 excavator using GPS machine control systems
- Carrying out civils and excavation works on a rail infrastructure project
- Working accurately to line, level, and GPS models
- Excavating, grading, trimming, and backfilling as required
- Working around existing services and infrastructure
- Working safely within a PTS-controlled environment
- Working closely with groundworkers, engineers, supervisors, and site management
- Carrying out daily machine inspections and reporting any defects
- Following site drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Following all site health & safety procedures
- Maintaining strict health & safety standards on site
