Rate: £17 per hour
Hours: 07:00 – 17:30

Foundation Personnel are currently recruiting for a local General Operative to work on a major civils project in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.
This role is on behalf of a leading UK engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering major civil engineering, utilities, water, and construction projects across the country. The business is recognised for its technical expertise, strong safety culture, and experience delivering complex infrastructure projects.
You will be responsible for carrying out general operative duties across the site, supporting the wider civils team and ensuring work areas are kept safe, clean, and organised.
Duties Will Include:
- Carrying out general operative duties on a civils project
- Supporting groundworkers and other site trades as required
- Moving and handling materials around site
- Assisting with general site preparation and housekeeping
- Supporting deliveries and site logistics when required
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy, and free from hazards
- Working alongside site supervisors and other members of the construction team
- Reporting any hazards or issues to site management
- Following all site health & safety procedures
- Maintaining strict health & safety standards on site
