Foundation Personnel are currently looking for a local Crane / Lifting Operations Supervisor to work on a project in Brighton, East Sussex
This role is on behalf of a leading UK plant hire and construction support specialist, providing cranes, heavy plant, lifting solutions, and logistics services to some of the country's largest infrastructure, energy, and civil engineering projects. The company is recognised for its extensive fleet, technical expertise, and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence.
You will be responsible for supervising crawler crane and plant lifting operations, ensuring all lifting activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved lift plans and site procedures.
Duties Will Include:
- Supervising crawler crane and plant lifting operations
- Coordinating lifting activities with crane operators, slingers, and site management
- Ensuring all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with lift plans and industry best practice
- Monitoring exclusion zones and maintaining safe lifting areas
- Conducting pre-lift briefings and ensuring all personnel understand the lifting operation
- Lifting mainly pre-cast elements
- Liaising with site teams to coordinate plant movements and lifting schedules
- Monitoring compliance with site health & safety procedures and lifting regulations
- Completing lifting documentation and reporting any operational issues
- Supporting safe and efficient project delivery throughout all lifting activities
- Maintaining strict health & safety standards on site
