Foundation Personnel are currently recruiting for a Groundworker to work as part of a civils gang on a live project located inside a prison in Newmarket, Suffolk.
This role is on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong track record of delivering infrastructure and civils works across secure and controlled environments. They are recognised for maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance on all projects.
You will be involved in all aspects of civil engineering and groundworks, working closely with machine operators and supervisors within a high-security site.
Duties Will Include:

General groundworks as part of a civils gang

Assisting with drainage, ducting, foundations, and concrete works

Operating dumper and roller when required

Supporting excavator operators and other trades
-
Working safely within a secure prison environment

Carrying out manual works including backfilling and muck away

Adhering to strict site safety and security procedures
Requirements:

Valid Blue CPCS or NPORS (CSCS logo) Dumper/Roller

In-date Safety Critical Medical
-
EL1 Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain)

Proven experience in civils and groundworks
-
Comfortable working in secure or restricted environments
-
Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work as part of a team
