Hours: 7:00am – 5:30pm (10 Hours Paid) – Weekend work also available
Duration: 4 Months
Pay Rate: £24.00 PH
Foundation Personnel is seeking Steel Fixers to join the prestigious HS2 project in Brackley, Northamptonshire. If you have experience in steel fixing and are looking for a new challenge with a major infrastructure project, this is an excellent opportunity to get involved in one of the UK’s most exciting developments.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- General steel fixing work, including bending, cutting, and securing reinforcement steel bars (rebar).
- Nip and tie cage work, ensuring the reinforcement is correctly assembled and positioned.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to accurately place and secure steel reinforcements.
- Ensuring steelwork is securely fixed in compliance with design and safety standards.
- Working as part of a team to meet project deadlines and maintain quality control.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations on-site.
- Assisting in other steel fixing tasks as required by the site manager.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Green CSCS card with steel fixing experience (Blue CSCS card is preferred).
- Previous experience as a Steel Fixer on construction projects (experience with cage work is beneficial).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- EKFB induction is advantageous but not essential.
- A proactive, reliable, and team-oriented attitude.
- Strong understanding of health and safety standards in construction.
