Position: Wireman
Hours: 07:30 – 17:30
Start date: 01/12/2025 – 6 months
Location: St Austell, Cornwall
Rate: £300 / Day
Position Overview
Supporting ongoing electrical works on a live infrastructure project, you’ll join the team as a Wireman responsible for installation, testing, and wiring tasks in line with National Grid standards. You’ll work closely with site supervisors and engineering teams to ensure safe and compliant delivery.
Requirements
Essential:
-
National Grid (NG) Person competency
-
ECS/JIB card
-
Proven experience as a Wireman or similar electrical installation role

Ability to work accurately from technical drawings
Desirable:
-
Experience on National Grid or DNO projects
-
Additional electrical or safety certifications
Key Responsibilities
-
Carry out wiring and electrical installation tasks to specification.

Read, interpret, and work from electrical drawings and schematics.

Support installation, testing, and commissioning activities where required.

Maintain a strong focus on site safety and compliance at all times.

Work collaboratively with Engineers, Supervisors, and wider site teams.
