Position: Site Engineer
Location: Leiston, Suffolk
Project: Tunnelling Works – Set Out & Survey (TS16 – Leica Total Station)
Hours: Could be 07:00 AM – 15:00 PM or 15:00 PM – 23:00 PM
Rate: £350 Per Shift + Travel and Lodge Allowance
Duration: Long Term Work
MUST HAVE:

Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field

Experience in a site engineering role within tunnelling or heavy civil engineering (e.g., shafts, TBM, SCL/NATM)

Proficiency in using total stations (Leica TS16), GPS equipment, and CAD software

Understanding of temporary works and construction safety procedures

Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills

Valid CSCS card and relevant safety certificates (e.g., SSSTS, First Aid)
Foundation Personnel are currently looking on behalf of a Tier 1 Contractor on Sizewell C for a Site Engineer for a major tunnelling project in Leiston, Suffolk, supporting shaft and tunnel works. The role involves setting out and surveying in line with project drawings and specifications using Leica TS16 equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out accurate setting out and site surveys using Leica TS16 total station

Assisting with the supervision of tunnelling operations and coordinating with site teams

Monitoring site progress and ensuring compliance with design and safety standards

Liaising with design and project teams to resolve technical issues

Preparing as-built drawings, quality assurance documentation, and progress reports
