Position: Site Agent – Sewage Treatment Works
Location: Stansted
Project: Thames Water – Sewage Treatment Schemes
Hours: 07:00 – 17:00
Duration: Permanent
Salary or Pay Rate: Negotiable (DOE)
Requirements:

Proven experience as a Site Agent within Sewage Treatment Works
-
Strong technical understanding of:
-
Inlets and outlets
-
Filtration systems
-
Chemical dosing processes
-
General sewage treatment operations
-
Essential Certifications:
-
SMSTS
-
First Aid at Work
-
Temporary Works Coordinator
Beneficial (not essential):
-
Confined Spaces (ticket or experience)
-
HSG47 / working around services
-
NVQ Level 6 (Black Card)
Key Responsibilities:
-
Day-to-day management of site activities
-
Managing 2 Supervisors across separate work areas
-
Liaising closely with the Project Manager
-
Managing and coordinating 1 subcontractor once awarded
-
Overseeing a growing direct workforce (currently 6 operatives on site)
-
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
-
Upholding high standards of health, safety, and compliance
Qualifications and Experience:
-
Strong background delivering works within live Sewage Treatment Works
-
Confident leading teams and coordinating multiple workstreams
-
Solid understanding of temporary works, permits, and site controls
-
Able to work at pace and support schemes ramping up quickly
