Position: Topman
Location: Farringdon, Oxfordshire
Project: Utilities (Water)
Hours: 7:30 -5:00
Duration: 4 weeks, potential to move onto other projects
Salary or Pay Rate: £220 per day
Requirements: CPCS or NPORS Slinger Signaller and Thames Water Passport
Key Responsibilities:
- Acted as Topman overseeing trench and excavation safety during works
- Monitored ground conditions and ensured safe access and egress at all times
- Maintained constant communication with operatives working in excavations
- Supported and supervised confined space operations where required
- Ensured compliance with permit systems, risk assessments, and method statements
- Coordinated movement of plant, labour, and materials around the work area
- Promoted and enforced site safety standards in line with Thames Water requirements
Please note: Successful candidates will be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test at induction, carried out by our end client, as part of their health and safety procedures
