Project: Civil Engineering – Pipelaying & Site Operations
Hours: 6:30 – 17:00
Duration: On Going, Temporary Employment
Salary: £28 Per Hour

Foundation personnel are looking for a General Foreman to oversee site operations on a civils project in Strensham. The role involves managing Health & Safety, supervising groundworks (with a focus on pipelaying), and ensuring site compliance with PUWER & LOLER permits. The successful candidate must have a strong background in civils (preferably in pipelaying) and be comfortable handling paperwork and permits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Supervision: Manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce site safety regulations, carrying out risk assessments and ensuring all work is conducted safely.
- Civils Experience: Oversee pipelaying and general groundworks, providing guidance to site teams.
- Paperwork & Permits: Maintain and manage PUWER & LOLER permits, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
- Reporting & Communication: Provide regular progress updates to site management and ensure all necessary documentation is completed accurately.
Qualifications and Experience:
- SMSTS or SSSTS (mandatory)
- First Aid Certification (mandatory)
- CSCS Gold or Black Card (beneficial)
- Manual Handling Certification
- EUSR National Water Hygiene (beneficial)
- LOLER Awareness (mandatory)
- PUWER Awareness (mandatory)
- Civils Experience – preferably in pipelaying and groundwork supervision
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams effectively
- Experience completing site paperwork and ensuring compliance with regulations
