Foundation Personnel, a leading Geotechnical and Foundations recruitment agency, is currently seeking a qualified Estimator to join our client’s team. Our client is a leader in the execution of complex excavation pits, ground improvement, deep foundations and vertical seals, utilizing the most up to date equipment and installation techniques.
Job Title: Estimator
Location: Atlanta, GA
Responsibilities:
Estimator will perform assignments specific to engineering and construction project estimating duties, necessary to support the Estimating Manager and help the company to pursue new work.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reading drawings, specifications, and RFP's
- Creating initial detailed take-offs to support construction cost estimates for all trades
- Support of Ground Improvement Manager in the preparation of cost estimates and proposals
- Obtaining, analyzing, and tracking vendor quotes
- Tracking costs and quantities
- Accumulating and evaluating historical cost data for the development of future estimates
- Reviewing and evaluating take-offs of others from existing drawings or specs
- Working with estimating team to strategize final bids
- Visiting project sites with Project Manager to better understand our construction methods
- Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
