Hours: 7:30AM – 5:30PM
Duration: 12 Weeks
Pay Rate: £300 Per Day
Foundation Personnel is currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a high-profile commercial construction project. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a strong background in setting out duties on large-scale construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Setting Out Engineer
- Ideally hold a CPCS Blue Card, though applications with NPORS cards will also be considered
- Strong technical knowledge in setting out processes for commercial building sites
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment
- Accurately setting out and surveying the site for construction works
- Interpreting and working from construction drawings, specifications, and designs
- Liaising with site management and various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
- Monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with building regulations and project timelines
- Reporting on progress and providing updates to the site manager
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within commercial construction
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Setting Out Engineer
- Ideally hold a CPCS Blue Card, though applications with NPORS cards will also be considered
- Strong understanding of construction methods, health & safety, and legal regulations
- Proficiency in the use of modern surveying instruments (e.g., total stations, GPS)
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and a problem-solving mindset
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline are preferred
