Foundation Personnel are currently recruiting for a local Ganger to work on a major infrastructure project in Chipping Warden, Northamptonshire.
This role is on behalf of a specialist civil engineering and groundworks contractor delivering drainage, utilities, and infrastructure packages on large-scale projects across the UK. The company is recognised for its expertise in complex drainage installations, high safety standards, and ability to deliver challenging civils works within demanding project environments.
You will be responsible for running a drainage gang and acting as the Responsible Person within the groundwork team, ensuring all works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Duties Will Include:
- Leading and supervising a drainage gang on site
- Acting as the Responsible Person within the groundwork team
- Installing drainage systems up to 2.5m deep
- Working with 300mm – 900mm diameter pipework
- Installing PVC and concrete drainage systems
- Coordinating daily activities and ensuring productivity targets are met
- Ensuring works are completed to programme, line, and level requirements
- Maintaining site records and communicating with site management
- Promoting and enforcing site health & safety standards
- Conducting daily briefings and toolbox talks
- Maintaining strict health & safety standards on site
